I got an unexpected message from a friend that my book, Pagluwas (University of the Philippines Press, 2006) is finalist in the 2006 National Book Awards, Short Fiction Category. I don't know when's the awarding or what happens if I win. I'm so happy already my book got nominated. The complete list is here. Before we left for LA, I managed to set up a book launch at Mag:Net Cafe in Katipunan. Here are some of the pics from that night. Thanks to Ed Geronia of T3 Magazine for the photos.
